The ultimate Italian aperitivo. Reportedly created in 1919 in Florence, Italy, for Count Camillo Negroni when he requested his regular drink, the Americano, be strengthened by replacing the soda water with gin.

Ingredients

  • part 

    Fords Gin®

  • part 

    sweet red vermouth

  • part 

    Campari

  • Splash of soda water (optional)

  • Orange slice for garnish

Directions

Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass, fill with ice and stir until well chilled. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube. Garnish with orange slice.
